Meaning of different Zodiac signs


1.      ARIES: The Aries is said to be the first sign of the zodiac, that is, the first house where the sun resides before beginning the year-long journey across the sky. The constellation, Aries, appears in the sky as a ram looking behind and admiring its own beautiful fleece (wool) with the brightest star called ‘Hamal’ from an Arabic sentence that notates the head of the Lamb. This Zodiac sign is known as the sign of sacrifice harking back to a myth of a sheep with a golden fleece offering himself as sacrifice after performing a service. People whose birthdays fall between March 21 and April 19 are said to be born under the sun sign of Aries. According to astrologers, Aries, a fire sign, is ruled by the planet Mars. Astrologers believe that Arians have the following features:
a)      They are strong-willed and spontaneous
b)      assertive
c)      creative
d)      pioneering
e)      competitive
f)       courageous by nature

2.      TAURUS: The second sign of the zodiac is the Taurus, symbolized by the bull. According to astrologers, people whose birthdays occur between April 20 and May 20 are said to be born under the sun sign of Taurus. Taurus, an earth sign, is ruled by the planet Venus, named after the ancient Roman goddess of beauty and love. Astrologers consider Taureans to possess the following feature:
a)      Taurus are considered to be loyal

e)      They are also thought to be patient, affectionate, and good-natured people.

3.      GEMINI: Gemini, the third sign of the zodiac, symbolized by twins. Gemini is visible in the Northern Hemisphere. Its most prominent features are two bright stars, Castor and Pollux; it also includes a star cluster visible to the naked eye on clear, moonless nights. The astronomers of ancient Egypt symbolized this constellation by a pair of young goats; the Arabians by peacocks; and the Greeks by twin children. Astrologers consider people whose birthdays fall between May 21 and June 21 to be born under the sun sign of Gemini. 4.      CANCER: The fourth sign of the zodiac, symbolized by a crab is the Cancer. Its name is derived from a Greek myth about a crab that fought the Greek hero Heracles (better known by his Roman name, Hercules) as he attacked the Hydra, a many-headed monster.  People whose birthdays occur between June 22 and July 22 are said to be born under the sun sign of Cancer. The ancient Greeks discovered that the sun entered Cancer at the summer solstice, at which time the sun is 23°27’ north. For this reason, that parallel of latitude was called the tropic of Cancer. According to astrologers, the moon rules Cancer, which is a water sign. Astrologers consider Cancerians to be:

Virgo, an earth sign, is ruled by the planet Mercury, named after the ancient Roman messenger god. Virgo was known in ancient times as fertility or a harvest symbol. It contains the first-magnitude star Spica or α Virginis, and a large number of variable stars. The characteristics shown by a Virgo includes:
a)      Virgoans are practical
b)      No-nonsense people
c)      They like to talk and are good communicators, but prefer to put their words to practical use. Thus they are not very interested in idle conversation, and they can be shy.
d)       The typical Virgoan also has a tendency to be critical.

According to astrologers, Libras have been known to show the following features:
a)      They are diplomatic
b)      Refined
c)      Intelligent
d)      Very thoughtful, warm, and have social natures.
e)      They can be quiet and shy if not persuaded to come out of their shell.
f)       Because of the sign's relationship with the planet Venus (named after the ancient Roman goddess of beauty and love), Libras tend to be romantic and crave relationships.

8.      SCORPIO: Scorpio, (the group which I belong in), is the eighth sign of the zodiac and is symbolized by a scorpion. Scorpius is a southern constellation situated partly in the Milky Way next to Libra. Scorpios are often misunderstood. These personalities are bold and are capable of executing massive enterprises with cool control and confidence. According to astrologers, people whose birthdays fall between October 23 and November 21 are born under the sun sign of Scorpio. The planet Pluto rules Scorpio, which is a water sign. We Scorpios are believed to show and also possess the following features:
a)      Scorpios are known to be energetic, passionate, deep, intuitive, and secretive, with a great deal of self-control.
b)      Astrologists believe that Scorpios can be willful, stubborn, and easily made jealous.
c)      Scorpios can be argumentative and pack a powerful sting, but that’s simply because they see all oppositions as a healthy challenge.

Sagittarius, a fire sign, is ruled by the planet Jupiter, named after the wise ruler of the ancient Roman gods. Astrologers believe that Sagittarians are:
a)      Fun-loving, friendly, philosophical, intellectual, straightforward, and expansive by natures.
b)      Sagittarians are optimistic, and sometimes have a naive belief that everything will turn out fine despite any obstacles.

The name of the constellation is derived from Greek myths about the god Pan, who was often represented as a goat like figure.  Astrologers believe that people whose birthdays fall between December 22 and January 19 are born under the sun sign of Capricorn. The planet Saturn rules Capricorn, which is an earth sign. According has been able to identify the features possessed by the Capricorn and theses features include:
a)      Capricorns have responsible, disciplined, practical, methodical, cautious, serious, and sometimes pessimistic natures.
b)      Capricorns believe that anything worth having is worth working hard for, and they assign the highest value to things won through the hardest work.
c)      Typical Capricorns are aloof and shy, sometimes even awkward, because they stay so focused on responsibility.

a)      Brilliant, visionary, curious, open-minded, original, independent, and eccentric.

12.  PISCES: The 12th and the last sign of the zodiac which is symbolized by two fish whose tails are bound together by wavy band is the Pisces. Pisces does not include any notable stars but does contain the point through which the sun passes at the vernal equinox. According to astrologers, people whose birthdays occur between February 19 and March 20 are born under the sun sign of Pisces. The planet Neptune rules Pisces, which is a water sign. Pisceans are considered to exhibit certain features which are as follows:
a)      They are considered to be sensitive, emotional, sunny, impressionable, dreamy, creative, psychic, and mystical.
b)      Pisceans tend to be idealistic; sometimes the real world gets too harsh and ugly for them.
c)      To escape unpleasant realities, some Pisceans retreat into their own dreams and fantasies and become evasive, even deceitful. Others escape productively through charity work, the arts, religion, meditation, and solitude.
d)       Pisceans make good listeners, can see different sides of issues, and often have great sympathy for the suffering of others.
